Evolution Story

Savour Ventures started its journey in early 2017 with the launch of its accelerator program through our partner Creative Startups; the first of its kind in the Middle East. A sector focused accelerator that aimed to invest across the food value chain within the MENA region. Savour Ventures accepted early stage startups in order to help them grow fast with a 10 - week curriculum. Learn more about Creative Startups here.

Savour Conducted three cohorts. Each cohort included startups from various industries within the food industry including a traditional Mexican food eatery all the way to growing mushrooms from coffee grounds! Valuable insights were collected during the span of the accelerator, which included; a better understanding of the regional food ecosystem, current struggles founders face with business model development, and problems with securing funding.

Savour Ventures evolved into the leading Micro Venture Capital Firm focusing on the food vertical. The accelerator allowed Savour to gather data in order to focus on funding alone.
